I have had the pleasure of working with some of the Scientists at the Centenary Institute, a ‘Not For Profit’ world leading medical research institute located on the border of University of Sydney campus and the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The institute is focused on research into understanding disease mechanisms to find causes and cures for cancer, inflammatory disease and cardiovascular disease. The Institute and its wonderful Scientists face many challenges in today’s climate gaining funding to continue their important life-saving research.
Donations from the public are an important component and as part of that, the ‘Suit Up For Science’ initiative aims to raise vital funding to support their life saving work. If you are interested in contributing to a very worthy cause, there are many ways to support the Scientists. Have a look at the Centenary Institute Pamphlet, visit the Centenary Institute web site or contact the Institute on 1800 677 977.
It is an amazing feeling to contribute to something bigger than ourselves.
The secret to living is giving.
