Why Leadership Alignment Matters More Than Ever
We’re excited to share that Anna and Craig will be speaking at the RACGP Practice Owners Conference in Sydney on May 23 & 24. After presenting in both 2024 and 2025, it’s a privilege to return and continue supporting General Practice owners and Practice Managers in the work that matters most – leading their practices with clarity, confidence and alignment.
Over the past few years, we’ve partnered with many General Practices across Australia. What we consistently see is that the challenges practices face are rarely about capability or effort. They’re about alignment. Alignment across the leadership team, alignment in expectations, alignment in communication and alignment in how the practice operates day‑to‑day.
Anna and Craig will present on Leadership Skills for Navigating Conflict and Tough Conversations in a session scheduled for 10:30am on Saturday May 23rd. This presentation will expore a case study of a GP leadership team who we supported to develop their capability to manage conflict and engage in productive discussion.
Craig will be participating on a panel focused on the topic of the Importance of Practice Relationships scheduled for 1:15pm on Sunday May 24th. The session will look at the importance of GP – PM relationships and explore how to avoid a toxic relationship, build trust and thrive.
When leadership is aligned, everything becomes easier. When it’s not, everything becomes harder.
Practices with strong alignment experience:
- clearer decision‑making
- more consistent communication
- reduced tension between Practice Owners and Practice Managers
- stronger culture and engagement
- better patient and team outcomes
And this is exactly why we keep returning to the RACGP conference. The work happening in general practice is complex, demanding and deeply important. Owners and Practice Managers carry a huge amount of responsibility, and without strong leadership foundations, the pressure can quickly become overwhelming.
If you’re attending the conference, we’d love to see you there. Come along, take away insights you can apply immediately, and please come say hi. We always enjoy reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new practice leaders who are committed to building strong, sustainable and people‑centred practices.
General practice leadership is challenging, but with the right support, it becomes far more achievable.
We look forward to seeing you in Sydney.
